Devant les ravages de la guerre à l'aube des années 1990, Saba, son père Irakli et son frère Sandro doivent fuir la Géorgie pour rallier l'Angleterre. Eka, leur mère, restée sur place, meurt avant de pouvoir les rejoindre.
Les années passent. Rongé par le souvenir de sa femme, Irakli décide de retourner au pays. On ne le reverra plus.
